nokb.ly Nokia has a network of 6 test centers around the world. We got to check out the one in San Diego last Monday. Every product goes through more than 200 different mechanical tests. They showed us some of these tests. My favorite part was analyzing with microscopes with 1000 optical to 50000 electron magnifications to see when and where possible micron size solderings may crack. Another one I liked was the drop test. The phone was analyzed with a high speed camera that can take up to 100000 frames per second.
