Neowin hands on: Windows Phone 7 Series UI
Hands on with WIndows Phone 7 Series UI
-
its a bit like the zune hd software
-
@rockfest78 windows mobile did 10 years ago, in 2000
start, programs, search -
WE WHO BUY WINDOWS PHONES WANT “WINDOWS 7″ ON OUR MOBILE DEVICES, NOT A MOBILE O.S.
-
@kagunmmm
I know I’m reseponding two months late….but you do know what that is what they did with winmo and ended up failing horribly. What MS didn’t understand was the a mobile phone is a mobile phone, not a PC. -
POS!
-
at the launch of WP7, i hope there is 60Hz kinetic scrolling and pinch-zooming, ad really good games. only then will ever consider buying an LG panther, i wonder what other handsets will have windows phone 7
-
I know this is a prototype version but i hope this phone is fast. If the buttons are unresponsive and if the UI is choppy I sware ill have to switch to an IPHONE, The pre was promising and I loved the multi tasking abilities. But a slow phone gets OLD REALLY QUICK. Im ditching my pre for this.
-
@Darkensei i bet you a million dollars that it never gets hacked to run on iphone.
-
what a loser interface! probably 20% of the screen on the right is wasted.. and nothing seems to fit in the screen.. the phone looks nice though… microsoft is going down..I prefer winmo 6.1 than this one.
-
its not capacitive touch screen why? this man using his finger nails hmmmm
-
iPhone owners, do not worry. Sooner than later this will be hacked so it runs on the iPhone.
I bet my money on that
-
The Idea was good but they messed it up…they should have made it more like windows 7 on the PC, faster, smoother & better than mobile 6.5 and all they had to do was put a nice interface over it the way HTC does
-
@oCHR0MIUMo the search button doesnt just search through shit on the phone it can also search the web, if you actually watched the video, you can search for something you want and get directions to it without opening the internet and going to a specific search site.
@aristotledude not sure how having 6 main hubs isn’t simple. please explain. as for it being “ugly” M$ is simply taking a more modern aesthetic approach, whether it’s ugly or not is a matter of opinion -
@T4Taco I agree. I cannot wait for this phone OS to come to actual phones. I shall be getting mine through Sprint. I am surprised that Microsoft has been making awesome products.
-
my god the iphone WAS the reference long time ago. this is a windows phone so why so many idiots talk about the iphone that is more a gaming console than a phone???!!!
-
It’s funny to hear all the Steve jobs ball lickers talk sh@t about this OS they’re really scared that their ball licking will end perhaps you can lick your own balls for a while. I’ll be smashing my iPhone as soon as I dan get one of these. Won’t it be nice to have a phone who’s speaker I can actually here outside of church
-
@pepphell , doesnt the iphone have a whole screen dedicated to searching? WTF
-
you guys need to know that this is a PROTOTYPE..or in other words..STILL IN PRODUCTION…why would they come out with UI slower than the last one..that doesn’t make sense.
-
Thank goodness it does not have the ugly icons like crappy iphone or android. Windows phone 7 way more better UI look and more up to date. Bye Bye lack of features Iphone and Android.
-
SLOW!!!!
-
when does it come out?
-
I can finally throw my iPhone out.
It was never as great as people says it was. Just a glorified app launcher. Some of the things that are integrated into WinPho 7 would take 4-5 apps to open up, one at a time on the iPhone. But on here it’s all on one screen.
This is def my next device.
-
@pepphell, you haven’t even touched the device let alone use it on a finished hardware platform and you’re passing judgment.
You sir, are a tool.
-
the start screen looks crap
-
Seriously, when you press on search — WHY THE F DONT YOU GET THE KEYBOARD RIGHT AWAY? why do you have click on search button, then tap on the search bar? HOW MUCH SENSE DOES IT MAKE TO TAKE TO SEARCH SCREEN WITHOUT THE KEYBOARD. YOU FKNUTS.
