@pastafariannerd you can use the network its edge only though aka slow internet there is no 3g thats all. and i nvm i found a way to disable the error i was getting but i had to install a custom rom first. and yea looks like ur screwed edge isnt that bad though unless ur planing on tethering mobile sites on edge arnt bad

what??? and now i just found out i cant really get a data plan because the networks in Canada dont support the nexus one(except some new WIND mobile that ive never heard of…)I think the networks here use the same networks as AT&T and the nexus one currently doesnt work with those ones(unless you want 2G) So looks like im screwed… but i dont get what you mean by the wifi gets messed and the browser gets messed?PM me..kk

@blahblahblahsup no you dont need a dataplan… you can buy it unlocked and then use wifi… thats what im gonna have to do…my mom wont pay for my plan!

You could activate it over Wifi, and use it only in Wifi. So not technically, but it would ruin the user experience.

a rom cant change how 3g works, the hardware determines what frequencies the 3g network works at and currently no matter what rom you flash you can only use 3g on tmobiles network

Will this enable 3G on other networks other than T-Mo or will this still only work with T-Mo’s 3G network? OR does this work with 3G at all?
