c’mon microsoft, support to your royal/old friend HTC with having hd2 run wp7! i’m thinking about selling my Hd2 b/c of that. And yes i used to jailbreak my xperia and i really do not like how unstable or slow it is. And it’s not covered by warranty. Maybe i got lazy~

The Idea was good but they messed it up…they should have made it more like windows 7 on the PC, faster, smoother & better than mobile 6.5 and all they had to do was put a nice interface over it the way HTC does

The hub is the Games Hub, not the Xbox hub. Xbox Live basically means, Multiplayer games for the Phone. Microsoft has actually said that if they wanted to, Sony could create a Playstation Hub if they wanted to for Windows Phone.

They showed rotating during the livestream, it works.

Tell me that 6 months from now when it is on the streats. This UI is so much better than Apple’s, rather than having separate apps for everything developers will be able to integrate their experiences into the core phone abilities. Tell me how apple has integrated the cloud into the core experience? Who was the first to release an OS that ran on tablets? Not Apple.

Any phone running anything Micro$oft related will be problematic at best. This product is doomed before it even hits the shelves. Apple innovates, Micro$oft simply follows and fails.

The phone was not responding from 2:03 to 2:46

I don’t think the UI is underdeveloped/cheap just that the hardware looks poor.

WOOOOW it look like a phone from the 70s

I know, I was replying to somebody elses comment.

But, the GUI is based heavily off of what the ZuneHD GUI looks like, so, I can see why people would think that it is a ‘Zune Phone’.

But, the iPhone isn’t really the same type of animal as this. iPhone still uses the same basic Java based running platform, just with different apps, because you can break an iPod Touch to have all of the iPhone apps.

But, this runs an entirely different OS than Zune (both are still XNA platforms though),

  15. CaptainFaisal says:

looking awesome! can’t wait for that…

  16. ScorpioTone says:

well the iphone is not an ipod phone, its a phone with the ipod application.
Just like this Winphone is not a zune, it just has the zune application.

  17. halfingr says:

Yeah. I was thinking they’d actually name it too, rather than just make it like a code based on the model and the OS.

But, seriously, more than 6 months till its launch for real, so there is still plenty of time for Microsoft to rename it and update the main screen.

  18. halfingr says:

It may not be in the current build yet. Its not going to be released for more than half a year, you never know.

  19. Vieteddy says:

Well or something more attractive than “Windows Phone 7″ It seems like a mouthful

  20. kamalsutra says:

So far, no one’s demoed rotate to landscape accelerometer.

  21. FultonSeele says:

UI looks a a little underdeveloped or cheap!

  22. halfingr says:

If you have an MSN account, you can log into XBOX live.

  23. halfingr says:

They didn’t want to call it the ‘ZunePhone’, because they didn’t want to ‘copy’ Apple.

Because Apple calls essentially everything i(insert object name here), calling this the ‘ZunePhone’ would be the biggest cliche possible.

  24. Vieteddy says:

They should’ve just called it the zunephone. It is very Zune HD like, just minor differences. Oh well, I want one.

    @Ascii89
