HTC Desire review – part 2 of 2

Russell takes a look at the beautiful new HTC Desire, which is, more or less, HTC’s own version of the Google Nexus One Android 2.1 smartphone. It features an optical controller, a large AMOLED touchscreen display, and a very fast Qualcomm Snapdragon processor running at 1GHz. More info: www.mobileburn.com

@KG739 I don’t think so, but you can sync your hotmail account to the existing mail app.

That camera app has an impressive amount of settings for a smartphone, haven’t seen metering mode in many phones.

Does the HTC Desire have text messaging like the iPhone? In that texts with different people are stored in different inboxes (in a conversation format)? Anyone?

  10. payingwithfire says:

@therandygoat Yes, the HTC Desire is highly customizable. You can even have MOVING/ANIMATED backgrounds

This might be a bit late for you. But i’d stongly recommend the Desire over the Galaxy. HTC are fantastic at making phones, and the desire is one of their best. The things about the Galaxy that turned me off was the lack of ANY headphone jack, no LED camera flash, and the external casing is simply plastic making it feel cheap. The Desire is just a wonderful phone (much better then the Iphone) and you wont be dissapointed.

@therandygoat i hope so, that’s the only thing that keep me on the fence of buying one, i know will, but i just wish the phone looked nicer

Good music choice for the multimedia player review.

  16. therandygoat says:

Is it possible to change that god-awful purple color to something nicer?

  17. kahuna3901 says:

i love the music player, that is the application that will crush any plans of me buying an ipod or an iphone cause id rather buy this which is as good if not better than ipod. the whole ui for music just looked so much bettert and the way that the widgets allow you to acces music without having to enter the application is a god send. i just love how htc and google are thinking out side the box

  18. TheReclamation14 says:
