@mgcristi you’re missing my point – what i meant by being ‘cool’ was that they innovated instead of suing (htc for example), worked well with others (adobe for example) and they encouraged and helped developers instead of creating black boxes for their qa (iOS approval process for example).
We all put up with them taunting M$ because they were doing so much good stuff but, as i said before, now they’re worse than M$ ever was and making sure everyone bows before their apple overlords.

I love Apple and Google but google does have a leg up on Apple with flash
-
@unaguy05 You sir, are absurdly bad at making arguments, you are also taking something apple has said for a fact. There is no reason not to use flash on the phone – even if its a resource hog for THEIR phones, they could still install the option to turn it on or off.
You obviously never used flash on a Nexus One or a HTC Desire = works PERFECTLY. -
@overbyte Do you really need to be “cool” for people to like you ?
Or you should focus on building better and better hardware and software and less on being cool and taunting other companies? What’s wrong with you people
? -
Geez, stop saying “boom.” If you want to be better than Apple, than be better, don’t just copy.
-
What people are missing is that lack of flash on Apple’s mobile devices is Adobes fault. If they would bring a product to the table that is not a resource hog then Apple would consider it, but they haven’t. Flash is beast for my laptop and the source of almost 100% of my crashes, imagine what it is going to do on a mobile platform. Oh, ever tried to play a flash game with a touch device? Not a fun experience. Blame Adobe, not Apple.
-
Arrogance is is where people go wrong.
-
4:34 “It turns out that on the internet people use flash!” lmao! tell apple xD
-
“It turns out on the internet people use flash.” thanks google would you mind telling Steve Jobs that for me. Actually no screw that and screw my iphone I’m buying an android.
-
@jonmansson Flash will naturally fade out as HTML5 is improved (javascript performance sucks btw). Right now Flash still does things HTML5 is not capable of.
Steve Jobs is jumping the gun. Apparently he thinks if he doesn’t want something, all other developers will fall in line,
Remember HTML5 won’t be a standard for like 10 more years.
-
How can Google endorse flash after a whole keynote praising HTML5 and open technologies? People are using flash because developers has been forcing users to download flash. Now is the time to force developers to start using open-technologies and Google isn’t helping in that way at all by including flash.
-
RIP iPhone.
-
And WindowsMobile is dead..now.
-
“It turns out that on the Internet, people use flash!”
Lol…
-
*you are ))
-
@0x00ten That may be true, but people are still using it, and to be as friendly to all users as possible, you need to support it. Adobe was developing a way to translate flash files into native iPhone files. That’ll run very fast and integrate easily into the iPhone OS.
-
i need this shit NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I want FROYO now! omg I love u google!
-
“Turns out – people use flash”
YES – finally some sanity!
-
hehe, looks like Gundotra is trying to settle personal scores, he used to be with MS for 15 years !
-
flash sucks!
really it eats to many resourses (CPU); on PC that is a problem and what about mobile devices? – it can make lag and fire up everything. I use it every day, but Jobs has a point about the flash. It’s not about enable flash or disable it, it’s about to make some another solution, for browser it should be html5, but we’ll “never” see it )) P.S Sorry for my english if it’s not good) -
@jkirk1626 watch the video when conan visits google
-
@ZbadhabitZ Are you talking about Conan O’Brien? What’s the reference?
-
they should make a rollback for updates button, sometimes i have a perfectly running app, then i update it & some features i like have been replaced or its not as good as the previous version
-
@imagician Google has some pretty cool search functions, give ‘em a try.
