  4. BreezahOwnsYou says:

Wait, do you actually need a plan for the ipad.. or can u choose, or just need a sim card and if u have to use the plan what does the money go towards, apps?

  5. leisabeloc says:

    @Henshrow
No it’s just for 3g data, not calling.

  6. DetroitBORG says:

@nuubez It’s a media tablet so you would use your headphones when watching a movie, youtube, etc…not just listening to music.

  7. DetroitBORG says:

@tytippy2 Every 3G device on AT&T needs a separate data plan.

  8. nuubez says:

wait, does Apple really expect us to listen to music with earphones from the Ipad? ROFL!!! I’d TOTALLY picture myself carrying an ipad with me in my giant pocket. I mean what else does this thing do?

  9. Henshrow says:

@Thejuniboy51 ooh cool thanks I’ll look it up :’)

  10. Thejuniboy51 says:

@Henshrow yes you could put a sm card in it and its called a micro sim just like the iphone 4 but non-like the iphone 4 you could only use the internet on the ipad no calls or text etc. but you could use a app called skype to talk to ppl! hope this worked! ;) but if your looking for a tablet that can call i recommend the dell streak!

  11. Henshrow says:

Waitt, you can put a sim card in an iPad 3G? Like to call people etc?

  12. tytippy2 says:

What if I have an AT&T plan with data on it already? Do I still ahve to sign up for this too?

  13. DetroitBORG says:

@davidthekid2000 3G is referring to a high-speed cellular data service. Basically, this iPad can connect to the internet over a cellular network so you can take this anywhere and stay connected, very similar to a smartphone like the iPhone. However, you do need to subscribe to a provider to enable this functionality.

  14. davidthekid2000 says:

i am a noob and dont know alot bout 3g wat does it do and how deos it make the ipad better ?

  15. DetroitBORG says:

    @cooldude234567890 Why not?

  16. DetroitBORG says:

@envisionmovie You can, you don’t need the 3G functionality and you don’t have to activate it you choose not to.

  17. ky13harbor9 says:

@DetroitBORG lol people ask such vague questions in all caps and then give like 10 possible issues and its like,

    wow… LOL

  18. cooldude234567890 says:

    you have both WHYY

  19. envisionmovie says:

i am getting an ipad soon… and i was wondering… why cant i just connect it with the wifi i have at my house?

  20. DetroitBORG says:

Yes, but it violates your terms of service and it’s not a trivial task to configure frequently. But I will send a PM with a link explaining how to do it.

  21. DetroitBORG says:

@Goaliewester9 It seems may people do, I got them from Costco ;) .

  22. Goaliewester9 says:

    OMG! I have those scissors

  23. TheRecon4 says:

You didnt really try the 3g cause since your ipad was also connected to your wifi so the ipad used your wifi which can scue the results because you might not have the fastest wifi internet connection.

  24. usernamessuck58 says:

    I have a question.
If I buy a 3G model, would I have to get a brand new SIM card from AT&T? Or can I take the MicroSIM out of my iPhone 4 and just use it for the 3G?

  25. DonutHead3 says:
